The Linda Lindas Release Victorian-Themed Music Video for 'Everybody Told Me' and New Album

The Linda Lindas have launched their latest single, “Everybody Told Me,” complete with a music video that draws inspiration from the Victorian era. This release coincides with their third full-length album, titled Gotta Get Out.

Mila De La Garza of The Linda Lindas shared her thoughts on the track, highlighting the enjoyable and collaborative process of its creation. She explained that the dynamic exchange of ideas among the band members led to distinctive elements like the call-and-response section in the bridge and their first-ever fade-out conclusion. De La Garza also mentioned that the band explored deeper emotional and somber moods in several songs on this record, particularly enjoying the creative direction for the spooky, Victorian aesthetic of the music video, a style they hadn't previously attempted.

Since their debut album, Growing Up, four years ago, The Linda Lindas have shown significant artistic growth. Their musical abilities have continually improved, but it is their songwriting that has seen the most profound evolution. The band emphasized how crucial it was to find new inspiration and experiment with fresh approaches to avoid creative stagnation, embracing hope and joy in their artistic endeavors. The group is also gearing up for an extensive tour, with upcoming performances alongside Bleachers in September.

The Linda Lindas exemplify artistic evolution and resilience. Their journey highlights the importance of embracing change and seeking fresh inspiration to overcome creative challenges. By blending their maturing musical prowess with innovative thematic choices, they offer a powerful message about growth and the enduring joy found in artistic expression.
